What I Have Been Doing??

Its long since I have posted something on my blog.. But one good thing i did was, i dint forget to read the updated blogs on my blogroll. Good to know that they have something to write. After a busy two month, I have something to put down into my blog.

I myself wondered today, What was i doing for so long , that i didn’t find a time to post  a new blog??

We Shifted:I Shifted my house within the same locality to another better house. The house we stayed almost drowned during the rains last year in Chennai. So we thought we can move to a new house on first floor. First floor since we cant move more than that, My grandma has problems climbing stairs and whichever ads we saw, we found houses/apts without lifts. Also, the dog and cat in the next house often visited home, and us being a pet fan, always had fun keeping them at home and feeding them something which wasn’t liked by our owner. It was a very big house and ha a big backyard with lot of trees. Trees which rarely fruited, but brought in home, lots of mosquitoes and dust and dry leaves. So finally when the owner wanted to increase the rent by another 2000Rs, we thought we had enough in that house and thought of finding a better change. I tell you, house shifting is the mammoth thing compared to any other thing in this world. Even wedding can happen within a day or two with a month preparation but house shifting, no matter how much prepared we are, we always land up missing something or the other. Its been 25 yrs of my life and i have lived in around 15 houses over India all rented. We had enough of staying in a rented house, so we planned to go in for building a new house with the latest interiors and design.

We Sold:In the crowded city of chennai, we owned a small apartment, when i was doing my graduation. My dad had brought it as a part of the investment , but the house was really a warm one. One of the tenants got wedded, one of them fetched a better job, one of them got a job in his own hometown and so on..The house had turned lucky for each one of them. And we had never had any complaints so far(touch wood) And finally the day had come when we posted and ad to sell our house. Thanks to the web service of Sulekha Classifieds, our house found a very good buyer and they brought it as a gift for one of their sons.

We Brought: We brought a new bike :-) I am now a proud owner of the new Honda-dio. The recent model with the graphics and the double shade is really too impressive. The scooter doesnt make any noise as that of other scooters. Its more kinda bike than a scooter and I love every bit riding it, except the fact, when i have to carry someone along with me, it turns more heavy :P So, I love my scooter and my scooter loves me :) Yay!

sleeping

We Never Slept: Its been more than a week, since my team here has gone for a sound sleep. We have been having calls early our morning and stay here till late nights. I know its a new project I’m working on, and it will still continue for sometime until the application is steady, but i dont have option but to accept whatever the manager here orders. I keep thinking in office , when would a day come when i get a managerial position, I would try to be little bit empathetic towards the team members too. Its easy for the manager here to ask to come early and go late(even if the work load is less, stay just for the sake of staying) but the team is the one who is facing the heat. The onsite has been given so much importance that, they think they give us the bread and butter and they always have a “No” to whatever we deliver. I mean, a little co-operation among the team will give fruitful results than, the blame-game and then making everybody follow rules, which one thinks is right. I got really pi**ed-off today when they has cancelled the meeting their noon time, meaning our late night, without any intimation. And when we reach, what we see in our mailbox is a cancelled invite. Why are the application support mobiles given? Just to hear fancy-ringtones?playing it all by ourselves. Gimme a Break.. All i need is a break. I’ve already planned for a day leave, and i want to make the best out of it. I have also planned lot of thing on that one-day leave. I cannot go for a trip :( I really miss going for one. I’m more of a trip loving person, but my parents aren’t. They think its a waste of time, and there are other things on earth to do :( Please let me have a trip this year.. i didnt have any.. :( other than the one to Bglr, all alone and returned alone.. :( I cant even call that as a trip.. *Sob

coffee

We Drank: I cannot believe when i say this, but this is what I have been doing, Any restaurant or small snack stall i visit, I make sure I take a good coffee and complete my meal/ snack. I am hard-core “No” against Coffee/Tea. Not any particular reason, but i do believe that, one must not get addicted to any thing for one’s own pleasure(even if its coffee) :P No.. No.. am not getting philosophical here, but i hate seeing people or listening to people who say, “Got a sever headache without a tea/coffee”. And also, i have made everyone at home like the smell/ flavour of coffee too. I said.. I still cant believe when i say this.

This is all I have been doing.. without making a new post..

Well said, changing house is not an easy joke. By GOD’s grace, I have done it only twice and that too in that ill-fated city called Bangalore, I actually found that very difficult. Now I am a proud owner of a house and hence I dont need to worry about anything :)
