Ever wondered why we wish?

I remember when I was a little girl , I always wanted a bicycle to ride to school. Seeing my friends at school ride those little fancy bicycles, that had those colorful ribbons attached to the handles. Two steady stands on the side of the back wheel, and then the fancy drawings of barbie or mickey on them made it so pleasing to possess. All I had with me was a tricycle. It was one of the best I had. When we moved to the new locality I made friends by lending that to the kids. As a practise of Indian culture It passed on to my sis
She had to use the old one.
Remember the song from one of the movies about bicycle? chaandi ki cycle.. Sone ki seat.. this song was one of the biggest hit during those days and I always pointed my finger to the cycle in the song and showed my dad, “I want one…too”
Once I started going to the 10th standard I had to attend special classes and tests for which I had to reach early in the morning to school and leave late in the evening after my coaching classes. Which meant I couldn’t come by the routine school van that i always used to take. Looking at my misery, dad brought me “Hercules MTB DX” the coolest bicycle any girl in the school owned. I used to have a blast bragging about the bicycle in the school.
Then came 12th , where the same special classes and tests followed. This time it wasn’t easy for me to ride my cycle, since we had shifted home far-far away from the school. I had no option other than using the MTC buses for my travel. It was really tough for me since I always wanted to own a scooty just like other kids at school did. Parents knew that it was unsafe for me to ride at the road. So I didnt get one
After that college life started and It was more than just like a boarding school life. All I wanted and wished to do in college was sit, study, get superb marks, and a nice job!!!
Which I did.. *pats self* I didnt realise any other wish other than this.
Once into job I always wanted to drive Car, all my friends in the locality started boasting off their news cars obviously brought on loans, and I had to be the odd man out without owning one. Although i didnt want to own one, I wanted to drive on. I joined the classes “Ladies-Teach-Ladies”
On the day of driving I found that and old guy is gonna take my classes , since there were no ladies in the driving school. So it went on, and I was the “Queen on the Road” . I really loved driving and It was my first investment from my salary too
not car.. but the driving class..
I couldnt own one, coz we already had one at home and no place to keep the new car
(Nice Excuse)
Life went on… and I have completed almost 3 years at work.. I have evrything I wished for. And I can even afford to buy them(Why are EMIs there for?? ), My version of quote.
There’re some things Money Can’t Buy,
For Everything Else, There’s EMI.
But the only wish I have with me is.. to light a Smile into everybody’s life. It stil remains as ”Wish”
