Have you guys come across the astrology predictions and found them sometimes turning out to be true?? Well , not all the time. But sometimes… it Does..

No matter how much we refuse to accept, we aren’t too much into the superstitious belief and into all the predictions done by the cosmic calendar, We can’t help ourselves sometimes without getting a little excited to know what future holds for us. Staying finger-crossed to hear something good. The astrologers are pretty smart in this business though. It so happened that, my phase in life was going bad, and my parents had decided to take my horoscope and roam around and consult as many astrologers as possible. God, I really had to control myself from stopping them, coz i had no options of stopping them either. In a reply i would get “We’re doing all these for your own good. And, this custom has been there since ages, and its not some money-making practise”. what else can i reply other than,”ok, carry on.. Take it wherever you want to”. And then wait for some astrologer to talk whats  good or bad about me. Its not always good to accept everything that what an astrologer says blindly. Blind-faith is far too dangerous than less faith. Sometimes it lands you up into a lot of trouble.  I agree that parents know for sure what is good and what not right for their children. But as they grow up, a little discussion with them for a decision is far-far better than holding onto the horoscope for any step to take. The future should not purely depend on the horoscope.

Once the astrologer is done with his predictions, the rituals follow after that. Chakkar of so many temples, and then the pujas at home and then as usual the same old life. And then when good things happen, you have to hear , “See, as we said.. this is all for your good only”. Lot of things has happened since a year has passed.. Wait… am i getting too nostalgic over this..  I am seeing the same things happening again this year..!! I dont know what is in store for me this year. But the same things are happening all over again. I’m visting the same places i did last year. I even did the same thing that i did last year. Hope something good happens this year.

Coming back to the topic , Relatives are yet another hurdle to take a decision in life. They are never a “Yes” to any decision that we want to take.  I don’t understand in what way is our decision going to impact their lives, they should sit at home and mind their own business without having a say to what’s happening in other’s life. And do our parents always have to consult the relatives to know, how their children would stay happy. Gimme a Break.. the parents know it better. I’m so against the relatives-consultation. I could somehow adjust to the astrology belief than bear the relatives.

I wonder when will parents stop taking decisions for their children, based on astrologers and relatives. This is a endless saga just like the saas-bahu serials.
